Ron Paul managed to show that perhaps it isn’t a complete anomaly that he is still in the Republican Final Four in the Maine caucuses Saturday. Mitt Romney won, of course, with 52 percent, while McCain had 21 percent. Ron Paul came in with 19 percent and Huckabee got 6 percent. Of course Dr. Paul was the only GOP candidate besides Romney (and his surrogates) to campaign in Maine, and he might not get any delegates despite the showing. Still, it suggests that Paul supporters could be a factor in the GOP whether he comes close to the nomination or not.
